Man muss kein Waffen-Freak sein, um Ingenieurskunst aus alter und aus neuer Zeit zu erkennen und vorbehaltlos anzuerkennen. Die Abwehr gegenüber Waffentechnik ist nur bedingt verständlich. Von Generation zu Generation wiederholt sich ideologisch begründete Aggression, Ausgrenzung, Anti-Empathie, menschenfeindlicher Angriff und Hass. Nicht nur Naturkatastrophen sind unausrottbar. So dankt einmal den Technikern, denen wir neben Friedens- und Luxustechnik auch technische Wehrhaftigkeit verdanken, statt sich mit Beißen und Steineschmeißen verteidigen zu müssen. Suche den Frieden und jage ihm nach – die alte Benediktinerregel. In den Apokryphen des Alten Testaments lesen wir Kohelet: „Wie einer, der nach Schatten greift und dem Wind nachjagt, so ist einer, der sich auf (pazifistische) Träume verlässt.“
Denn: „Was geschehen wird, wird wieder geschehen, was man getan hat, wird man wieder tun. Es gibt nichts Neues unter der Sonne.“
Das wird immer so bleiben ...
 

You don't have to be a weapons geek to recognize and to be unreservedly recognizant of engineering art from ancient and modern times. The resistance to weapons technology is only understandable to a certain extent. From generation to generation ideologically based aggression, exclusion, anti-empathy, misanthropic attack and hatred happens again. Not only natural disasters are ineradicable. So thank once to the technicians, to whom we owe besides peace and luxury technology also technical resistance, instead of having to defend ourselves by biting and throwing stones. Seek peace and pursue it – the ancient Benedictine rule. In the Apocrypha of the Old Testament we read Kohelet: "Like one who reaches for shadows and chases the wind, so is one who relies on (pacifist) dreams."
For: "What will be done will be done again, what one has done, one will do again. There is nothing new under the sun."
That for ever will remain this way ...
